If you’d like to donate eggs in Manchester, Cheshire, Liverpool or in the North West, you’ll have a choice of fertility clinics to donate to.
But whilst each may have an egg donor programme, you’ll find they’re not all the same. Manchester Fertility and our Manchester Donors egg donor programme is the only one to have achieved Centre of Excellence status from the National Gamete Donation Trust (NGDT), making us a preferred referral clinic for anyone interested in egg donation.
To secure the accolade – we were the first fertility clinic in the country to do so - all of our egg donor processes were vetted across a six month period.
Every aspect of our approach was scrutinised - from the moment you apply online, to your initial consultation and screening, donor profile completion, egg donation procedure and follow-up.
Personalised care, attention to detail, provision of information, flexibility, commitment, dedication, discretion, donor choice and clinic facilities were all aspects in which we excelled and exhibited best practice.
So what does our NGDT Centre of Excellence status mean for you if you’re considering egg donation? It’s your reassurance that you’ll be well looked after by a team that is fully committed to your care.
The NGDT noted that we ‘embrace and value the selfless individuals who choose to donate their eggs’ and that we treat both potential and actual egg donors as ‘generous and special human beings, and with the dignity, respect and sensitivity they deserve, but which is sadly so often lacking in other clinics.’
It’s why so many women choose to donate eggs to us, which in turn means we can always help those who are relying on donor eggs to have a baby with no waiting list.
You must be aged 18-35, in good health and a non-smoker. Altruistic egg donors receive £750 compensation per donation cycle, or if you need IVF yourself you can donate eggs at the same time to receive your private IVF cycle at a subsidised rate.
